SL Time Consuming? Someone noticed!

Apologies for the headline sarcasm, but I'm happy to report that Joe Sanchez' ongoing series on student work with Second Life has begun with a complaint I've long held in private.

In a world with students encouraged to donate time to the community, engage in service learning, intern -- oh, and do their homework, too -- is having them take time to learn 3-D building techniques really the best way to spend their English Lit. time?

I'm not so sure. Happy to learn otherwise, but I'm not yet enamored of the concept.
