Is it a podcast?
There's been some newly published academic research on podcasting, which I'm not going to get into right now. Another day, I'm sure.
But it brought to light a question. If a teacher/instructor/prof. puts audio files in a class' Plone/WebCT/Blackboard, is it a podcast? In the absence of an RSS/Atom-style subscription feed, I'd say no. They're just audio files, no matter what their content. It's the subscription feed that makes a collection of files into a podcast.
Am I being overly technical? Is my objection picayune?
