TLT Conference
Digital Ed's been quiet lately. I've been crunching through conferences and consulting gigs and that hasn't left enough time for family, much less the blog.
Today, that changes, at least a bit.
I'm at the TLT (Teaching and Learning with Technology) conference in Raleigh, NC. It's a conference I've been attending annually since its inception (Truth in advertising: I did skip last year's conference, as I had just moved to DC).
North Carolina is big in distance education. There's a lot of rural territory and plenty of under-educated space in the state - and there's also an ongoing commitment to higher education. DE is an answer.
The TLT conference is a favorite of mine, at least in part because it's always been a practitioner's conference. It's not generally littered with the tedium of "academic" presentations presented by non-practitioner researchers, nor by pre-PhDs warming-up for the "big" conferences.
OK - that's enough background. I'm in a session now and will get the blog in gear. If you're at the conference, please feel free to join the conversation.
