U. of Phoenix Reputation on the Rocks

The NYTimes.com is reporting on troubles in the (mostly) online world of the University of Phoenix. I'm not sure if the Times realizes that within online academia, the reputation of UoP has been an elephant in the room for several years.

Put bluntly, when planning with non-DE fellow faculty, "We're not going to be like the University of Phoenix" has been a necessary disclaimer for as long as I've been involved in distance learning.

Now, they have just a bit more NYTimes-powered fuel for their arguments against DE. Thanks, Phoenix.
