There - Not There

I caught this nifty YouTube video on SecondLifeInsider.com and figured I was being neglectful of a worthy VR educational environment, so I headed over There to kick the tires.

Whoops. There doesn't run on a Mac. Sigh.

OK - so I resorted to running Windows XP on my MacBook Pro through Parallels. Too bad there's no hardware acceleration in this mode. Hmm. More later as I practice with this odd little un-Mac-friendly environment.

Y'know, considering the growing Mac penetration in academia (and especially among creative types), I don't see adopting There for university education until a Mac client pops up - no matter how good it is.
